Introducing the World from the Heirs of Tenebris: Hugony

The shortest calendar season of the year, Hugony lasts only eighty-six days. This is a time of first harvests and new beginnings as business and industry heads look toward the formation of new relationships. Ports are at their most active during Hugony and Harvum, as people know these last two seasons are the most important in order to close the fiscal year on a high note. The fair weather also allows unobstructed travel, so goods are easy to transport over long distances and social visits are more enjoyable.

Entertainment festivals, such as traveling theatrical troupes, circuses, and the like are held throughout the country throughout the warmer weeks of Agergy, Hugony, and Harvum, though are most popular during late Agergy and early Hugony because of their favorable weather. However, mid to late Hugony is known as Tenebris’s rainy season, featuring temperamental weather patterns including humidity and turbulent storms.

While most places throughout Tenebris remain mild, the Amber Dunelands are plagued by an oppressive heat and bright sun. Some coastal areas may experience an unpleasant humidity, though the Shadow Forest is still cooler than the rest of the country due to its unnatural and inexplicable properties. The
Godberd Woods is often at its busiest as farmers transport or bring their goods to market now that the growing and harvesting season is in full swing.
